Accessing the PreViser Application

Opening the Application:

You can access the PreViser™ program in two main ways, either directly from your computer desktop or from the Start menu (for Windows users).

First, we will look at the shortcut from your desktop.

When you installed the software on your computer, a shortcut icon appeared on the desktop, as shown here. To launch the application, double-click the icon. This will open the application.

The second way you can open the application is by using the Start button in the bottom left corner of your screen. Click Start, go up to Programs, and over to PreViser with the same icon as the desktop shortcut:

Closing the Application:

You can exit in one of two ways, whichever you prefer:

1. In the upper left corner of the toolbar, click on File and select Exit from the drop-down menu:

2. Close the application as you would any standard window, by clicking the exit button in the upper right corner:

Authentication (Logging On):

When you want to try using PreViser's risk and disease assessment technology, you need to have a User Account with PreViser. PreViser creates an active account and supplies you with a User Name and Password, and sends this to you via email. For information on how to change your password, see Options and Settings.

However, you do not have to enter your account information (User name and password) every time you wish to open the program. Your user information is saved in the program so it automatically authenticates when you transmit data to PreViser web services for risk calculation, as long as your account is in good standing and your account is in Active status in the PreViser central system.

If you wish to require your users to log in each time they wish to access the application, please contact a PreViser Support Representative for assistance.
